摘要附注:
Ionic Liquid as Green Solvents discusses the application of ionic liquids as environment friendly solvent in extraction, separation and purification of organic and inorganic compounds, reaction media in biochemical and chemical reactions and catalysis, green organic and drug syntheses as well various useful industrial applications starting from polymer synthesis to biodiesel and lubrication, paint and pigments, water softening and dry-cleaning, ore refining to nuclear industry, aerogels, fuel cells etc. This edition discusses the uses of ionic liquids as a green solvents in various organic reactions such as hydrogenation, oxidation, hydroformylation, acylation, acetylation, dimerization, oligomerization, photochemical and cleavage of ethers reactions. The main emphasis is given towards the extraction and separation of biomolecules such vitamins, proteins, enzymes, DNA, etc using ionic liquids as the green solvents. The uses of green techniques like high-performance thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography etc are also discussed for identification and separation of biomolecules. Some of the very important industrial applications of ionic liquids as green solvents are discussed in details. These include ionic liquids for drug synthesis in pharmaceutical chemistry, industrial polymer and raw organic compound syntheses.
